we had an incredible trip out to beautiful west texas to visit with gammy and gan gan. the trip was made complete with the addition of uncle ross and heidi. we all had a fabulous time! check out the most varied-activitied trip ever!
the boys did some ranchin' (don't worry folks, the cows hardly felt a thing and were rewarded for their good attitude with a ton of cake, for real, at least that's what they call the cow food).
the kids had a ton of fun playin' train with the train king himself, uncle ross.
hot day in texas? no worries, set up a sprinkler in the backyard and we are set!
wills, just being wills.
we had a lovely passover seder. it was so wonderful to share in traditions with our friends and family. i had even prepped sunny and wills on the night's events and they joined in on the chorus for dayenu! i was so proud!
we had never been out to south llano river state park, but we knew there would be water there. when we are headed towards water, we start to have canoe dreams. so we (and by we i mean brent) packed up the canoe, and got goin'!
then we drag that thing down to the river.
and there was one short and glorious trip made by the boys
for the rest of our time there, the canoe was used in a different way than we had envisioned.
we went camping last weekend (there will definitely be more posts and wrap up from our great weekend with west texas and the ingrams). while we were there, sunny and wills paid tribute to their new favorite band, peelander z. we got to see this band during SXSW and have been checking out thier videos on line since (and you can too, http://www.peelander-z.com/). here is their cover version of our fave song, "so many mike".
we had a big plan for wills's birthday party... but as we have so often been reminded, things don't always go as planned when you are a parent. wills woke up with a fever the morning of his big day so we had to let our friends know that they should be weary of coming into the germ-ville for a party. lucky for wills, the day was incredibly fun and special with the help of some incredible family members and brave friends. we still had a rockin' good time and it was a day to remember. there will be more photos to come, but for now, here is the the birthday boy getting that special serenade.
what is happening??? how can this boy be two already?? i just can't believe that two years ago today we got to meet our precious and special little baby boy, and now he's all grown up!! this baby is a kid!
we decided to have a special morning adventure with sunny and shana to the park. it was a gorgeous day, perfect for the birthday boy.
wills even had a birthday milestone, he made it UP the slide!! i don't know what it is about going the wrong way up the slide, but it's every kid's dream!
i got to watch sunny's dance class again, pure cute bliss! on this particular day they were doing an interpretation of "the very hungary caterpillar" by eric carl.
