happy hanukkah!

oh man, we had quite a celebration for hanukkah this year! friends, family, blessings and traditions... it was magical! i will post more pics later, but this is by far my fave! gotta love the kid table, they are munchin' on the potato latkes. it seems that mr. wills is also enjoying some "see"food!

i got to visit sunny's wonderful ballet class again. food for the soul i tell ya! look at the awesomeness:



THEN last weekend sunny, gammy and i had a girl date to the nutcracker. it was magical, i love to spend time with my two favorite ladies.

Thanksgiving Decor

i was feeling a bit crafty before turkey day. luckily, sunny and wills were down for some turkey making!

aavp fans

here is another video i meant to post a while back (no, wills does NOT have another black eye, this is just old!).

our friends are also rock stars in the awesome band, akina adderley and the vintage playboys. they did a performance that was live streamed on the internet (love technology!) so we got to have a private aavp dance party!

san angelo trip... again!

i'm a bit behind in my blogging, allow me to back track a little bit. we finished off october back in san angelo to surprise gan gan for his birthday. ross and heidi came too and it was a fabulous visit. we were all happy to celebrate with gan gan and keep gammy company as she continues to recover a recent surgery.

halloween was a huge success! we started out meeting up with our good friend brynna and her momma and daddy.


then we walked over to wills's buddy diego's house to meet up with a few other families. (fyi, since brynna was a cat, she suggested that her mom, corie, be a ball of yarn... just in case you were wondering)

wills and diego ended up in the stroller, they just couldn't keep up with sunny and brynna!


the ride home was the perfect opportunity to explore the fabulous world of candy.

we are taking sunny and wills on their first ever trick-or-treaking adventure tonight! i will definitely post some wrap up from our night, but until then, here are some pics and footage from our prep, getting ready for the big day with our good friend runa.

we love exploring the ranch and hangin' with the moo-cows. sunny and wills have the coolest ranchers to look up to... gan gan and uncle richie know what's up!

gammy pics

sunny, wills and i took a trip to see gammy and gan gan and left daddy at home to do some work (and have some fun). this was my first solo trip with the kids and i am feeling pretty darn good about it, except for one little thing (you'll see).

travel tip from bean: go to your library and check out a ton of kid cd's that you wouldn't normally agree to listen to in the car. this was CLUTCH!

we received a phone call from wills's school friday morning that our little pumpkin had a little spill, well, a big spill... right on his face. when we arrived to pick him up, the first thing he said to us was, "i fall down but i'm tough". so true.

i love being reminded how fun it is to run and jump on a couch. seriously. if it has been a while since you have run as fast as you can, and then jumped on your couch (possibly with a spin move), today is the day.

uncle ross and heidi came to town unexpectedly this weekend and we loved every second! we got to go out for tex mex, have an ice cream date at the park and best of all, explore a cave! we think ross and heidi should come every weekend! we love y'all!

sunny's 4th bday party

last weekend, we celebrated sunny's birthday with a bunch of friends. one of the highlights was the pinata!

sunny and wills gave the pinata a goodbye hug before she was hoisted up the rope.


the action was priceless. i gotta say, i am amazed no one was injured in the process!




in the end, daddy got the goodies out :)

colorado birthday extravaganza

we had a wonderful birthday celebration for sunny up in the rocky mountains. it started with an awesome steam train ride that gammy planned for the whole family. it was so cool!

after the train ride, we went to a park for pizza, cake and presents! by the way, gammy hit a home run and got the most beautiful fairy cake ever!

wills was so happy for his big sis, i think he's goin' in for the moochie.

sunny LOVED all of her presents. she even shared a magic wand with wills. she had to explain protocol to him, of course.

4 years old!!

it is crazy that it has already been four wonderful years since my sweet sunny rose was born. the world is a better place with this ray of sunshine in it! i love you sweet sunny!

happy hikers

i don't know who loved hiking more, our little kangaroos, sunny and wills, or us! it was a little hard to maneuver on the trails while these little buddies insisted on holding hands! who can deny them though???




another favorite activity was when we became field scientists and drew (extremely accurate) pictures of the flowers we saw on the trail. The best part was getting to name the flowers whatever we wanted. some example of our creative names were "spiky rose" and purple-bonnet".
