during wills's nap time, sunny and i decided to do some cooking. i gotta tell ya, these were the best biscuits i had ever tasted. she added that special something!

wills has become a master crawler. i thought this perspective really shows off his speed and grace. what amazing technique!

sunny and i have made some awesome towers in our time. i have to say, this one is pretty incredible. look at the height on that thing!

sunny goes on her own special pretend journey to see the new t-rex movie. it's a little hard to hear her commentary over wills's enthusiastic additions to the audio, but listen as she explains that t-rex is really nice.

sunny has a deep understanding of her brother and she lays it all out for us in this little gem. this footage was taken during one of our favorite activities, the front yard picnic.

sometimes i can barely feed the boy because he looks so cute while consuming food. i can't take it i tell you, i just can't take it!

the weather has been holding out around these parts and a beautiful day is made even better with good friends, adorable babies, and a sunny rose.

ok, i'm not saying there is a lot of action here, but stay with it for some killer smiles. it's worth it, i promise.

paci truck

sunny has been sleeping with her paci (pacifier) since she was a little baby and she has now become the beautiful big girl we all know and love and it was time to give up the paci. we told sunny all about the glorious paci truck. rafa drives it to our house, sunny gives him all of her pacis and he delivers them to all of the little babies who need pacis. in return, sunny would receive presents from rafa to thank her for sharing her pacis with the little babies. This was the story we repeated for weeks, trying to get sunny mentally prepared for the separation from her beloved paci. then the day came, (when momma and daddy were brave enough to actually follow through with the plan) and the paci truck arrived. we were so happy that gan gan was here to witness the big event. amazingly, the whole plan worked out perfectly!! sunny gathered up her pacis and put them in the paci sack (great idea rafa) herself! she has been doing great without her paci ever since and even with a few whimpers have never asked for it since! hooray for our big girl!

wills 'n runa

the love has already begun with these two! notice how wills is giving runa his own special version of a footrub. what a sensitive man! i also think it's sweet that they have a bit of an awkward moment where that don't know what to babble to each other so they just look away and suck on their hands. so cute!

hook 'em

little sunny made us proud with her new musical endeavor. she starts out with a beautiful freestyle jazz-like singing that really sets the mood, and then she finishes up with some texas pride. check it out.

well... the title of this post should really be: "this aint momma's boobs and i'm just not that into it". i thought our little chunk would be all about the solid foods but he's taking his time adjusting to the new taste sensation. i'll tell ya what the boy CAN do, he can look freakin' fantastic in his texas bib, fit into the bumbo (the purple chair that is designed for babies who aren't in the 97th percintile in weight) and spread his food all over his face (i hear it is wonderful for the pores). you go wills!

Galveston Trip

our first family vacation was so much fun! we met gammy, gan gan and uncle ross down in galveston and stayed right on the beach! we played in the sand, visited the great moody gardens aquarium and had some visits from mammaw and pappa ed and barbara, steve and david.
